Tierkreis
General: The Tierkreis was not created by blending rexed breeds as many believe, but instead was bred from stray and feral cats in and around the Black Forest region of Germany. The rex and LaPerm genes have been known in the feral population for many generations, although the exact origins are unknown. The breed name means Zodiac and was given because of the spotted tabbies tendency to have star constellations in their coat pattern.
