Dhol Chat
General: Dhol Chats are little bundles of energy that first appeared following an improper attempt at utilizing the Dhol Chants. While far from the desired summon, they proved themselves adept at being exactly what their unwary owner needed. Their prevalence leads some to wonder if perhaps some of the botched ritual chants are deliberate.
Void energies leave strange traces on creatures they affect and the Dhol Chats are no exception. Their fur coats seem to grow wildly or fall out with no intermediate between the extremes. A tail of some length seems required for the travel through the void as no tailless Dhol's have been encountered. Colors, patterns and markings, and even the texture of fur (for those who have any) seem to vary from cat to cat. Small in size, slender in form and with angular heads the Dhol Chats shape has also been dictated by their void travels.
Credits: The idea of this breed was sparked from a hairless stray. The traits were written down and forgotten for 3 years before rediscovery prompted work to actually began on the breed creation. The name and 'story' are inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Special thanks to Valkattery and Apples for their useful advice, cats to cross into the line while trying to get the correct traits, general support, and mostly just putting up with my brags and rants while I worked on this.
