Dane Cat
General: Dane Cats, the cats of the north. The Dane Cats have served as trusted companions for over 1000 years. They are said to be of Scandinavian origin. Many scholars are of the opinion that the Danish Vikings were the first to breed the Dane Cats into existents while others say they are even older. Their true origin will forever remain a mystery. They have seen many corners of the world as the Vikings took the Dane Cats with them on their travels. They saw the attack of Lindisfarne in 793, the Viking raid on Seville in 844 and when Vikings settled Iceland and Greenland, the Dane Cats were there. In more modern times, they have become quite an interesting choice of pet as they are very free-spirited and wild, most suited for life outdoors exploring but do appreciate the occasional love from their humans.
